Services:

There will be a visitation, Sunday, July 9, 2017, beginning at 12 PM until 2 PM at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, www.ruggierofuneralhome.com, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl, PA.  Interment will be private in Wind Gap Cemetery, Plainfield Township.

Memorials:

In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be offered to Animal Welfare Society of Monroe (AWSOM) 3129 Godfrey Ridge Road, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.

 


Joel A. Bonser

Died: July 4, 2017

Joel A. Bonser, 76, of Wind Gap, passed away, Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Slate Belt Nursing and Rehab Center, Washington Township.

Born in Pen Argyl, January 24, 1941, he was the son of the late Harry A. and Mary A. (Rustine) Bonser.

Before retiring, Joel was employed by Hercules Cement Company, prior to that he was employed by Victor Balato Belting Company.

Joel enjoyed watching his son, Buff, bicycle race, he also enjoyed NASCAR racing, gambling, riding snowmobile, hunting, beer and smoking. 

He was a member of the Wind Gap Legion, Pen Argyl Legion and the Bangor Jacksonian Club.

He was a 1958 graduate of Pen Argyl High School.

Joel is survived by three children, Joelene A. Novak, of Bangor, David A. “Buff” Bonser and his fiancé, Krista Trach Turner of Wind Gap and Jessica A. Ceraul and her husband Dean of Plainfield Township, six grandchildren, Mariel A. Novak, Madyson L. Bonser, Kamryn C. Bonser, Zachary A. Ceraul, Caleb A. Ceraul, and Elijah A. Ceraul, and a sister Joan Bittenbender of Slate Belt Nursing and Rehab Center.
