Following cremation, there will be a visitation, Thursday, March 29, 2018, beginning at 5 PM until 8 PM at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, www.ruggierofuneralhome.com, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl.  All other services will be private.


Memorials:

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to the Blue Eagles Alumni Drum and Bugle Corp, 420 Male Road, Wind Gap, PA 18091 or to the New Eastwood, Activities Fund, 2125 Fairview Avenue, Easton, PA 18042.

 


Michael H. "Zute" Palmisano

Died: March 24, 2018

Michael H. “Zute” Palmisano, 63, of Pen Argyl, passed away, Saturday, March 24, 2018, at New Eastwood, Easton.  He was the husband of the late Joy A. (Fuls) Palmisano, who passed away, December 14, 2012.

Born in Easton, October 6, 1954, he was the son of the late Vincent and Gloria J. (Docking) Palmisano.

He was employed as a bartender at various taverns and social clubs in the Slate Belt and Pocono areas.

He was a 1972 graduate of Pen Argyl High School and attended Westminster College, Salt Lake City, UT and East Stroudsburg University.

While at Pen Argyl High School, Zute was a two way tackle on the 1971 Lehigh Northampton League Champion Football Team and was awarded the MVP Lineman award in the Pen Argyl-Bangor football game.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Wind Gap Legion and Hillside Rod and Gun Club, West Bangor.  He was an active member of the Wind Gap Blue Eagles Alumni Drum and Bugle Corp, was chairman of the Antler Open, and for many years coached the Pen Argyl High School Powder Puff Football Team.

He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Penn State Football and the New York Mets.

Zute is survived by his daughter, Michelle A. Palmisano of Roseto, two sisters, Vicki Allen of Wind Gap, and Jeanette Jones and her husband G.A. of Martinsville, VA, a brother Joseph D. Palmisano and his wife Lois of Bethlehem, nieces and nephews and his dog Brutes.
