Frank W. Butz

Died: June 30, 2018

Frank W. Butz, 86, of West Bangor, passed away, Saturday, June 30, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus.  He was the husband of Anna (Palma) Butz, they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary, January 28, 2018.

Born in Pen Argyl, November 20, 1931, he was the son of the late Earl E. and Evelyn L. Butz.

Prior to retiring in 1993, Frank was self-employed plumber, prior to that, he worked for Sherwood’s Plumbing and Heating, Bierler and Sons, Inc., Pen Argyl.

He was a 1950 graduate of Pen Argyl High School, and proudly served his country during the Korean War in the US Army 25th Infantry.  He was awarded the Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Star.

He was a member of St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church, West Bangor and the Charles Nelson Lobb Post #502 of the American Legion, Pen Argyl.

He loved to read, especially World War II books.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and Green Bay Packer Fan.  He was very proud to have been a veteran.

In addition to his wife, Anna, he is survived by a daughter, Annamarie Pence and her husband David W. of Pen Argyl, and a grandson, David E. Pence of Bethlehem.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Butz.
