Services:

Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at 11 AM at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, www.ruggierofuneralhome.com, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl.  There will be a visitation beginning at 10 AM until time of services at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl.

Memorials:

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to the American Heart Association, 968 Postal Road, #110, Allentown, 18109.

Lois A. Menhennitt

Died: May 5, 2019

Lois Ann Menhennitt, age 77, of Easton, Pennsylvania, died peacefully on the morning of May 5, 2019, surrounded by her loving family at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.  She was born February 10, 1942 in Bluefield, WV, to the late Noah V. and Margaret (Gold) Davis, and was the eldest of three children.

The family settled in Pen Argyl, PA, where Lois graduated from high school in 1960.  Upon graduation, Lois worked at A&H Swimwear and then Bangor Blouse where she worked until retirement.  She was an active member of the ILGWU for 42 years.  Lois enjoyed bantering with her husband and children, who all graduated from nearby Bangor High School.

Lois married Thomas James Menhennitt on January 6, 1962 and settled in Bangor, PA.  They were blessed to be married for 46 years, before his death in 2008.  On November 25, 2011 Lois married her childhood friend, Arthur Hutchison and moved to Easton.  They were fortunate to enjoy spending time together and even traveled to Hawaii and Alaska.

Lois was an exceptional homemaker, decorator, cook, florist, and caregiver.  She took great pride in her home and family, and always put her family first.   Lois enjoyed extended family get together’s at Colonial Pizza in Easton.  Lois was also a dedicated servant to God, reading her Bible daily.

She is survived by daughter Sherry (Tobin) Slocum of Perrysburg, OH; son Thomas (Carla) Menhennitt, Jr of Bangor, PA; step-son Mike (Jeann) Hutchison of Reinholds; step-son Scott (Shelby)  Hutchison of Yardley; and eight  grandchildren, Matthew (Karlie) Slocum, Steven Slocum, Jenna Menhennitt, Will Menhennitt, Taylor Hutchison, Grace Hutchison, Olivia Hutchison, and Evan Hutchison.  She is preceded in death by her brother David (Connie) Davis and a sister Carol (Andy) Vasco.
